The sisters Polina and Svetlana Ainbinder inherited their Yiddish language and Jewish songs from the family, where the father sang wonderfully. The creative duet of the sisters determined early. They started to appear yet studying the music in the Tallinn Conservatory. Concerts took place in Vilnius, Moscow, Leningrad. In the beginning of the seventies Polina Ainbinder became the leading actress of the Moscow Drama Jewish Assemble. In 1973 she was given a laureate title of the All Russian contest for her Yiddish songs performing. In 1974 “Melody” studio recorded two discs of Yiddish songs performed by Polina Ainbinder.
Starting from 1977 the sisters have been lived in Jerusalem. They perform in Israel, USA, Russia, Netherlands, singing in Yiddish, Hebrew and Russian. In 1997 was recorded and come into light their first CD “Russian Romance in Jerusalem”.
